John Muir: "Give every person enough leisure to go into nature"
In his book What's The Economy For, Anyway? John de Graaf tells (page 114) how John Muir was the first to advocate in 1876 mandated vacation time for workers, "a law of rest": We work too much and rest too little... Give every person enough leisure to go into nature.
